What is GibFlow?

GibFlow is a mobility app designed to help residents and visitors navigate Gibraltar more efficiently.

It provides:

  • Key wayfinder points across Gibraltar
  • Cycle parking locations
  • Bus stops and routes
  • Secure bicycle parking booking
  • Employer-hosted parking access
  • Real-time bus tracking and notifications (coming soon)

How do I create an account?

  1. Download the app from your app store.
  2. Open the app and select Create Account.
  3. Pay the one-off fee of £1.69.
  4. Enter your details and verify your email.

You must be at least 16 years old to register without parental consent.

Do I need an account to use the app?

You can view basic navigation and transport information without an account. However, you must create an account to:

  • Book secure bicycle parking
  • Access digital unlocking features
  • Manage employer-hosted facilities

Secure Bicycle Parking

How do I book a secure bicycle parking space?

  1. Open the app.
  2. Select a participating secure facility.
  3. Choose your date and time.
  4. Confirm and complete payment (if applicable).

You will receive confirmation in the app.

How does digital access work?

Your smartphone acts as a digital key. When you arrive:

  1. Open the booking in the app.
  2. Select Unlock Facility.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Access is valid only for the duration of your booking.

Is my bicycle guaranteed to be safe?

We implement secure access controls, but no facility can guarantee zero risk. You are responsible for locking your bicycle appropriately inside the facility.

What happens if I arrive late?

Your booking remains valid for the time slot reserved. If you miss your booked period entirely, refunds may not be available unless stated otherwise in the booking terms.

What if the facility does not unlock?

  • Ensure you have an active booking.
  • Confirm Bluetooth, internet, and location services are enabled.
  • Refresh the app and try again.

What items are prohibited in secure facilities?

You must not store:

  • Hazardous materials or flammable substances
  • Illegal items
  • Non-mobility related items

Facilities are for bicycles, e-scooters, and approved mobility devices only.

Can I extend my booking?

If space is available, you may extend your booking through the app before your session expires.

Can I share my booking with someone else?

No. Access is linked to your account and must not be shared. Sharing access may result in suspension of your account.

What if I notice damage or suspicious activity?

Report it immediately through the app (if reporting is enabled) or contact our support team.


Employer & Private Facilities

My employer offers secure bike parking through GibFlow — how do I access it?

Your employer will provide registration instructions. Once registered:

  1. Log into your GibFlow account.
  2. Navigate to My Facilities.
  3. Book and unlock as permitted under your company’s arrangement.

Who manages the facility?

The physical facility is operated by your employer or the designated site operator. GibFlow provides the digital booking and access platform.

Can employers customise access?

Yes. Employers may configure:

  • Access hours and capacity limits
  • User permissions
  • Internal booking rules

Payments

How do I pay for secure parking?

Payments can be made in-app using approved digital payment methods.

Are bookings refundable?

Refund policies depend on the facility and booking type. Full details will be shown before you confirm a booking.


Bus & Navigation

Does the app show bus routes?

Yes. GibFlow provides bus stop locations and route information across Gibraltar.

Will the app show real-time bus tracking?

We are working towards integrating real-time tracking in partnership with local transport operators. Once available, you will be able to:

  • View live bus locations
  • Receive notifications when your bus is approaching
  • Get updates on delays

Why might bus information be inaccurate?

Bus data may rely on third-party systems. Delays, traffic conditions, or technical issues can affect accuracy. Always allow extra time when planning important journeys.


Account & Technical

I forgot my password — what should I do?

  1. Select Forgot Password on the login screen.
  2. Follow the reset instructions sent to your email.

How do I update my account details?

Go to Account Settings in the app to update your email address, contact details, and payment methods.

The app is not working properly. What should I do?

Try the following steps:

  1. Restart the app.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Update to the latest version from your app store.
  4. Restart your device.

If the issue continues, contact support.

Does GibFlow track my location?

Location data may be used to provide navigation features and facility access — but only where you grant permission in your device settings. You can revoke permission at any time. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
